Drag Control is a project I’ve imagined with HitsuBlu and Mathilde Girault when I started working at Ground Control.
The idea was simple: showcase the art of Drag for all – fans, curious, drag artists, beginners, …
It gave birth to the Blu·e Velvet – a wonderful monthly drag show.
Both of these drag adventures continue today. Drag Control is a Saturday in September, next one is Sept. 16, and the Blu·e Velvet has been going for 22 editions, on the third friday of each month.
Drag Control c’est un projet imaginé en collaboration avec HitsuBlu et Mathilde Girault lorsque j’ai commencé à travailler à Ground Control.
L’idée est simple, mettre l’art Drag à l’honneur pendant une journée, pour tous·tes : les fans, les curieux·ses, les artistes drag, les débutant·e·s, …
La journée a donné naissance à une soirée mensuelle : la Blu·e Velvet.
Ces deux projets continuent à ce jour. Drag Control, un samedi de septembre chaque année – la prochaine sera le 16 septembre. La Blu·e Velvet, le 3ème vendredi de chaque mois, en septembre ce sera la 23ème édition !
